The vine:
- Located in Rouffach, in the South of Alsace, the Clos Saint Landelin, monopoly of the Muré family, covers 15 hectares. It’s situated at the southern end of the grand cru Vorbourg. Its steep south facing slopes are cultivated in terraces. The soil is clay and limestone with a lot of stones. The subsoil is made of calcareous sandstone from the Bajocien and calcareous conglomerates from the Oligocene. The vineyard is in organic farming.

- Vinification: maturing in barrels
- Date of harvest: September 23th and 24th 2008
- Yield: 30 hl / ha
- Alcohol: 13,5 %
- Ageing potential: 20 years
- Tasting notes: The wine is red with purple tint. The nose is spicy and mineral with Sechuan pepper’s notes. In mouth it’s a powerful wine with red fruit notes. The wine is silky, elegant and long. Pair with red meat, duck, pigeon or game.
