Located in Rouffach, in the South of Alsace, the Clos Saint Landelin, monopoly of the Muré family, covers 15 hectares (37.5 acres). It’s situated at the southern end of the grand cru Vorbourg. Its steep south facing slopes are cultivated in terraces. The soil is clay and limestone with a lot of stones. The subsoil is made of calcareous sandstone from the Bajocien and calcareous conglomerates from the Oligocene. The vineyard is in organic farming.

The wine:
- Harvest: by hand, in 20-kg-boxes
- Date of harvest: 29th of October 2010
- Yield: 43 hL / ha
- Vinification: slow fermentation and maturation on fine lees
- Residual sugar: 65 grams / litre
- Acidity in tartaric acid: 6,2 grams / litre
- Alcohol: 13 % / volume
- Wine made with grapes from organic farming
- Tasting notes:
Light yellow color and silvery hints. The first nose is an explosion of aromas: honey, spices, yellow fruits (apricot, peach). The second nose is focused on lighter and purer nuances: white flowers, pepper, rose water.
In mouth, the wine is soft and smooth but remains tonic thanks to its beautiful freshness.
Il is a well-balanced and complete wine which will seduce by its aromatic complexity in the nose and its persistence in mouth.
Can be enjoyed with foie gras, exotic cooking and cheeses like munster or époisses.
