The Région of Rouffach
Sheltered from the highest peaks of the Vosges, the slopes of the Rouffach region are characterized by exceptional sunshine. The composition of the subsoil, essentially limestone, ensures good drainage. The exposure varies from east to southeast.
The Grand Ballon and the Petit Ballon, the highest peaks of the Vosges, protect this region from westerly winds carrying rain clouds, favoring an exceptionally sunny and dry climate. (with 500 mm of precipitation, the annual rate is lower than in Nice)
