Tasting

This wine evokes ripe yellow fruits (such as delicate peaches and tangy apricots) but it also has a great subtlty with undergrowth and smoky aromas. The Clos Saint Landelin terroir gives a complex and well-structured wine, with an amazing aging potential.

The vine

Located in Rouffach, Clos Saint Landelin is the southern end of Grand Cru Vorbourg. The soil is marl-limestone and stony.

The pinots are well suited to the windy and dry conditions of the upper part of the Clos Saint Landelin. Pinot gris, in particular, develops aromas of fruit and yellow and a powerful structure.

Average age of vines : 40 years
